I watched Alfie today. It’s a fun movie to watch, eventhough I’m not very happy with the ending.
Alfie is a guy who is afraid to commit, who likes to jump from one girl to another without caring for their feelings. Alfie likes to sleep with more than one girl at a time, keeping one girl he likes more than others at bay, just in case, I guess only to proof to himself that he doesn’t need anyone to be happy. He thinks that it’s bad to be dependent on someone or have someone depend on him. I guess in a way he’s right, you shouldn’t depend too much on someone, but it is virtually impossible to live without depending on anyone, even just barely. At the end of the day, he becomes a lonely guy because the girl who wants to commit to him, he wouldn’t commit to, and the woman he wants to commit to, isn’t actually worth it.
It sucks to live life without the person you love who loves you back by your side. Life is way too long to live alone.
